  1. Do you eat uncontrollably or binge eat when you are not physically hungry?
  2. Do you eat faster than you think you should?
  3. Are you embarrassed to eat in front of other because of how quick you eat or how much you eat?
  4. Do you ever feel guilty because of overeating?
  5. Are you always thinking about your weight?
  6. Do you eat when you are depressed or to avoid other unwanted emotions?
  7. Do you find that you frequently have rapid weight gains?
  8. Do you have a history of fluctuations in your weight?
  9. Do you withdraw from activities in public because of embarrassment about body weight?
  10. Do you have a history of unsuccessful diets to lose weight?

If you answered yes to 3 or more of these you may be a compulsive overeater.
